Part I. The Power of the Stones[/size]
Everything in this universe has a purpose. The air you breathe, the water you drink, the land you walk upon, and the flames that heat. Welcome to a world where these elements I speak of come alive, in which they are under your control.
Or are they really?
Horse gods and goddesses are powerful. Nonetheless, everybody has their flaws. Yes, even those immortal ones who controlled everything in this world. They were impressively intelligent and strong, but there we so few of them they had no other choice but to harness the most difficult of powers to control--the elements. Every other equine was born under one of the four elements. Earth, Water, Fire or Air. The goddesses and gods held the responsibility of making sure they remained balanced, and did not grow out of hand. But not even the immortal ones could face the weight of responsibility. For as you know, there are much other more important things to worry about in the world. The immortals conversed and decided to harness the power of the elements into stones.
The stones of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth were then placed on this mortal world. And here were their guardians:
King Blodayventer of Air
King Anakin of Fire
Queen Athena of Earth
Queen Nerina of Water
The life source of each bender relies on their set stones. From there, the immortals chose four special royals to be in charge of governing and protecting their stones, for it was without a doubt, a large responsibility. As reward for their servitude the newly found royals were given decrees that they were strangely a part of their element, only in horse form. Therefore, they could easily rule without a fuss. So they were masters of their elements, and all lived happily ever after right?
Wrong.
A goddess make the mistake of telling them, that if all four stones were ever to unite together as one, something amazing would happen. An unknown power would be released, but a tragic fate would accompany the nations who got their stone taken from them. They would perish, and the elemental nation who did unite all four stones would live on as the most powerful, elite, element in the world.
Part II. The Fate of the Airbenders
Balance and peace lasted for some time between the nations, none of the royals ever thought twice about the elite power their nation could gain by uniting the four stones. But apparently, other benders had it on their minds. The air nation’s stone shattered, and all seemed to be lost. Thousands of air benders died. Mock chaos and confusion uttered throughout the harems. Everybody was on their toes, not knowing who did it.
A year later. The air nation’s land lay lifeless, until one spring day when the great Pegasus stood afoot his mountain and summoned hell’s portal to open. Unknowingly that day the great white one had managed to save and transport ten remaining air benders to where the stone’s power couldn’t affect them. The depths of hell. They came back weak, but determined with a mission on their minds. To seek revenge on the nation who killed their entire harem.. And just as fortunate as that, one more air bender was found to be alive. The chosen King, protector and appointed one by the immortals: King Blodayventer. He should have died along with his nation, especially since he was apart of the stone. But he managed to survive just barely. Knowing that if his identity would be revealed to the harems again, he hid amoung the earth nation under Queen Athena’s care. They fell in love, and had foals.
Now with a chosen King and a small population at his command, and the shattered remains of the air stone re-hidden, the air nation plans on nothing else but to lacerate the nation(s) who did this to them.
The whole heart of a nation..destroyed by selfish greed of another.
Part III. Truth & War (some of this has already happened and some is to be expected)
The foals of Athena and Blodayventer have told the other nations that the air king, along with a few air benders, are still alive. The young foals grew angry with their parents, for making them live their whole lives in an utter secret. Queen Nerina and King Anakin are now eyeing each other wearily, knowing that it was either Water or Fire who broke the stone.
Or. Is there more to it?
The terminal ill-ridden water Queen knows. As well as the pyschotic fire King.
Here are there stories. Whether you believe them or not, is your own choice?
Queen Nerina believed in her pupils so much. There of course, were a few that stuck out amoung the rest. The more advanced, smarter benders. Everybody is good at something, no? She became good friends with most of them, and they asked her to teach her more and more bending skills. A bit peer pressured into it, the Queen unknowingly taught them the evils of water bending. How can such a soft, beautiful element be viewed as ‘evil’? Quite simple of course. Bloodbending. A form of bending used very rarely, for there’s only a few that know of it’s art. Nerina taught them this disturbing form of bending, and they took quite an interest in it. Using bunnies as a prime example, they would show off to other benders as they gruesomely bended the blood of the rabbit to contort it into disturbing positions. You had to be careful when blood bending. One wrong move could pop a vein, and even result in death for the victims. Let’s just say, for them to master it, many rabbits, mice, and frogs were killed. But Nerina was impressed with the group’s interest in learning the art, and how dedicated they were to their alliance. She even thought she saw a possibly brute as a Water King for she knew that her disease she had since birth would one day claim her, but that all changed when the group started being a little more reserved in front of Nerina, and didn’t visit her as much for lessons.
Power. A horrible thing that vexes. The blood benders wanted it, a new alliance that could live along peacefully with the others. But in order to feel like they could have this power, and be accepted and known as a true blood-bending nation, they of course…wanted a stone. They discussed these ideas privately right under Nerina’s nose and one day settled on a plan to steal a stone. Of course, it was never there intention to kill the air nation. Oh no, they just wanted a stone. And it did matter which. Nerina they felt had been to kind to them, and they didn’t want to mess with their own stone, for they were clueless about how much power they possessed. The fire stone was talked about for sometime, but they were intimidated by the mighty Lord Anakin who hid it well. And as for earth, well--they had many lovers in that alliance. And they all liked Queen Athena and her wise decisions. But air--well, it was voted in as the weakest I suppose. So they did. Charged in there blood bending air benders out of their way, and eventually found the hidden stone--along with some visitors. Firebenders.
King Anakin was a respectable leader, who thought of his equines before himself. He was also long-term friends with Queen Nerina. They went all the way back to childhood together. Queen Athena and him were neutral and cool, but there was always a certain air around King Blodayventer that Anakin didn’t like. Nonetheless, it still did not drive him to the point of craziness, as if they would attack his nation or anything. No Anakin had his head on his shoulders, just as well as Nerina did. But his council of advisors and generals did not. He called a meeting, one to discuss the little problems and such, for what problems where there that needed to be solved when all four nations got along together?
It was the fire general who spoke out of line first. He suggested the idea that he and his advisors had come up with, about attacking the air nation for a good scare, which Blod desperately needed to see. You couldn’t say that Blod was all over rude, but it wouldn’t be totally untrue if you say that he was quite boastful about his nation at times, and could seem a bit ungrateful for what he had. The fire council simply thought it would be a harmless joke, or a good thing to ruffle him around a bit. Anakin couldn’t exactly say no to that idea, just for the reason of shaking Blod up a bit was in his mind. But still, he said no. And meant it. He told them to wait and see if another nation would make a move in confronting Blod, and his air benders who had become quite snobbish as well as their leader did. Anakin however, did say that if another nation made a move, that he would go in for the stone--and give Blod a real scare.
Was it to far perhaps?
Not for Anakin’s fire council. Oh no. It was the exact same day that the blood benders had moved in, where you could see seven of Anakin’s generals/advisors/land owners moving into the terra fiercely, and saw a glimmering white stone delicately held in a blood bender’s mouth. Afraid they were to late, the fire benders attacked the blood bender’s, and the stone was dropped in battle. And shattered into tiny pieces. It was said a bright light lit up the air nation that day, and in the next five minutes, all of the air nation--despite the ten air benders saved by Pegasus--were dead. Thousands of dead bodies rotting. Blodayventer lay there in agony and shock, only to be whisked away by his lover Queen Athena…
The blood benders and fire benders fled. In shock themselves of what they had done. Or, where they happy?
Nobody knows, for they were never seen again.
But there mistake still lays burdened with the King of Fire and Queen of Water now.
Will fire and water join as one?
Will earth and air?
Who will suffer in the end?
What side will you choose?
All of the action lives on Element of the Equine.
