Name: Melodykit
Age: 4 moons
Gender: She-cat
Clan: ShadeClan
Rank: Kit
Appearance: Melodykit has the typical “adorable” kit look, with the big, fluffy pelt and giant eyes. Her design came from her mother, a calico. The top of her head is a mixture of orange, brown, and black, her ears and the back of her neck being the same coloring, but with a more rounded look than the rest of her head and face. The rest of Melodykit’s body is, for the most part, a solid snow white, though there a few of the same splotches of orange and brown on her back. Tail is the same as every other kit, average length, and is the strangest part of her entire body. The whole thing is black. A solid, never breaking black.
Melodykit’s build truly hasn’t been decided as of yet, but she did inherited her father’s long legs, and has put them to good use in games and the like. However, her body is short, causing this kit to have a rather odd look to her. In the future Melodykit may stretch out to a normal length, and that, in combination with her long legs, may cause her to become quite a lithe she-cat.
Melodykit’s eyes are an odd color, looking from a distance to be blue, though truly they are brown. They are always as hard as steel, hiding all emotions very well. In fact, this young she-kit is so smart, that she often does a misleading emotion, such as if another asks her to play and she doesn’t want to. Eyes will turn sad as she says she wants to visit her mother in the medicine cat’s den today. Melodykit’s sorrow has faded away since she found out about Willowgrass being close to death, so it would be a good misleading emotion.
Personality: There are three words that describe Melodykit the best; Quiet, compassionate, and smart. The first speaks for itself; this kit doesn’t speak unless spoken to first, and is somewhat shy. Warriors and apprentices tend to intimidate her with their strength and size, though truly she could outsmart about half of the apprentices. Oddly mature for her age, Melodykit is usually found watching from afar, tail waving rhythmically back and forth, watching the camp go throughout the day. Though she looks silent, questions tumble throughout her mind. Why is Harmonykit so immature? What do the warriors do when they leave camp on patrol? Her mind wanders often, though she is always focused on the outside world, never found spacing off or acting out of it.
Melodykit’s compassionate side is found with younger kits, and sometimes even those her own age or older. She has a way with words when it comes down to calming someone, and her cool soothing voice tends to hypnotize into relaxing. An optimistic look on the world is always included in these talks, and though it seems impossible for a kit to be so… complicated, Melodykit is living proof that this is not the case. When put in front of an upset apprentice, however, she breaks down, having no idea what to say. This is odd considering she could speak to a kit with no trouble, but not a cat that is only a moon older.
The third character trait Melodykit has is her intelligence. This one, unlike the other two, is not as obvious. She doesn’t show it off like others may, by telling everyone all the facts she knows. Most of it stays in this cat’s mind. Truly, this kit would make a great medicine cat’s apprentice because of her memorization skills, but Melodykit isn’t interested in that. In fact, she doesn’t yet know what she is interested in. Violence never really was her thing, but the kit wants more than to sit around camp all day memorizing herbs.
History: Melodykit and Harmonykit were so named because from birth they were inseparable. As soon as the two were born, they were snuggling against each other when drinking their mother’s milk, and though their personality’s are totally opposite, it has stayed the same ever since. They played with each other as soon as they were old enough to stand, and plan to do so throughout apprenticeship.
The main thing that happened during the two’s past life was a horrid storm in ShadeClan territory. The Nursery became flooded when Melodykit and Harmonykit were only a few moons old. They were so young, in fact that neither of them remember the incident it to this day. The damage wasn’t bad enough to kill anyone on the spot, but caused their mother, Whispergrass to become horribly sick from the cold, and to this day she hasn’t spent a week out of the Medicine Cat’s den. The medicine cat expects her to die within the next few days, and though she/he refuses to tell the two siblings, Melodykit has a feeling she knows what is going on. Harmonykit, however, has always been a airhead when it comes to common sense or… pretty much everything other than fighting, and has no clue what is going on. Some say that it is cruel to keep such information from a kit, and that the shock will be even harder when it does come than if they knew beforehand, but others say that if they found out now they could never enjoy their kithood like others. Both sides have good arguments, but the future doesn’t chose which way to go, and Melodykit seems to be the only one to understand that.
